Cricket Wagga is sanctioned by Cricket NSW for organised cricket in the Wagga Wagga LGA across both seniors, juniors and representative cricket.
Wagga’s cricket origins date back to 1859 when the first Wagga team was established, with the first Wagga Cricket premiership competition being played in 1897.

Umpires
Cricket is Wagga Wagga is played between October and March each summer season, including a break during the Christmas and New Years holiday period.
Wagga Wagga has a vibrant cricket scene, and it includes a dedicated group of umpires. The Wagga Wagga Cricket Umpires Association (WWCUA) actively supports and promotes cricket umpiring in the region. They provide training and support for umpires, and they are involved in officiating matches at various levels of competition.
